People across America, including right here in the Rocklin and Roseville areas, folks love celebrities. When celebrity gossip hits the news people pay attention. For this reason we like to let you know the celebrity driving under the influence (DUI) news from time to time. After all, some may find comfort in knowing that even celebrities get arrested for DUI. They may be well known in their home state and around the country, but they too are not immune to being pulled over for suspicion of DUI.
We only usually hear about the bigger celebrity DUI cases on the news. But in all reality, there are others that take place. Most celebrities probably wish their DUI story would remain a bit more discreet, but since they have a high profile name it is likely to leak out to the rest of the country, and world, sooner or later. Here are some celebrities recently arrested for DUI around California and the rest of the country:
Titus Young As a former Detroit Lions player, he may be good at putting the moves on the football field, but he got himself into some hot water recently right here in California. It is reported that Titus Young was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Then he managed to get himself arrested again later that same day. The second arrest came with a charge of burglary, because he allegedly had scaled the fence at the tow company, as he was trying to get his vehicle back from being impounded.
Al Michaels The legendary sportscaster has been reported as being recently arrested for DUI charges in Southern California. Al Michaels is a sports announcer for Sunday Night Football. His court date for the DUI charge is scheduled for June.
Mason William As an outfield prospect for the New York Yankees he knows how to play it safe. But when it came to getting pulled over by police for suspicion of DUI, he went along with field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer. The tests showed that he was DUI, but he was under Florida's legal blood alcohol limit, so his charge was a misdemeanor DUI.
Each week there are celebrity DUI stories that hit the news outlets. While the celebrities may be popular from movies, sports, or because they are other types of television personalities, it is still interesting to many people. Celebrities, just like people around Rocklin, Roseville, and the rest of California, are subject to the same DUI laws as everyone else. They just end up getting more media attention when they get arrested. But even for celebrities, the best way to have a successful outcome from a DUI case is to work with an attorney who is qualified and experienced handling such cases.
